Life, just bigger
We have a tendency to make ourselves smaller, less visible. We shrink from the spotlight, duck uncertainty, and fold ourselves into origami shapes designed to make us look more polished, accomplished, and less prone to mistakes.
But the more we contort ourselves to fit into some mold that will never allow us to fully flex all of our parts—the good, the bad, and the in-between—the less we’re able to seize opportunities for joy, love, and the improvement of our lives.
After eight years of working at As the World Turns and a lifetime of soap fandom, Kate realized that these larger-than-life characters, who shrink from nothing and for no one, can teach us dramatic lessons that allow us to live life more fully. And most importantly, through these characters' twists and turns, we learn it's never too late to change our stories.
